CONTEXT
This company specialized in Tableware regularly renovates its manufacturing units around the world.
Deltafluid has already supplied flow meters for previous achievements in the United States in particular. For the current project, as part of the renovation of its plant in Russia, the supply must allow the customer to better control its gas consumption and regulate the heating of furnaces via the burner gas supply.
A complete measurement set must be used to read and control the gas consumption via a PLC. This measuring element which records and totals the quantities consumed makes it possible to know the real consumptions and the associated costs for an efficient exploitation of the installations in production.
The other flow measurement elements are used for furnace heating control. They must therefore make it possible to measure a gas flow rate at a temperature of approximately 25 ° C and an estimated pressure in bar (g) as accurately as possible.
SOLUTION
The solution of flow measurement units by means of a pressure differential device meets the main challenges of reliability, precision and cost control.

The pressure and temperature variations are taken into account and compensated by the installation of pressure and temperature sensors integrated in the measuring sections. This installation allows the calculator to provide a corrected and accurate flow.

The realization of complete measuring sections assumes compliance in all respects with the ISO5167 standard and in particular the length and roughness of the upstream and downstream tubes, the cylindricity and concentricity of the assembly. In addition, the dimensional criteria required by the standard being demanding, the calibration remains superfluous.
Differential pressure transmitters are also configured and pre-adjusted at the factory for easy commissioning.
Thus, this complete and factory-assembled solution eliminates the main sources of measurement uncertainty and offers a precise, robust and inexpensive system (no calibration costs, easy installation and low maintenance mechanical system). ).
Hydraulic tests were carried out on 100% of the devices to check their tightness and their resistance to the required pressure levels.
