CONTEXT
The project is located on a global chemical platform in Morocco. It is a complete infrastructure offering a set of facilities for the storage of raw materials, packaging and handling of finished products between the chemical units and the port.
This new chemical complex is under construction and will eventually include 10 fertilizer production units with a unit capacity of 1 million tons per year.
The manufacturing units must be equipped with complete instrumentation kits allowing a fine and precise regulation of the processes.
SOLUTION
The instrumentation supplied includes flow measurement elements: calibrated venturi tubes for high measurement accuracy and vortex flow meters as well as temperature probes.
The measuring instruments, fixed in an IP65 box, allow the acquisition of digital data:
- Pressure transmitters for the measurement of relative pressure, absolute pressure, differential pressure and flow
- additional pressure transmitters for a high performance version with a measurement accuracy of 0.04%
- temperature transmitters
The installation of these sensors makes it possible to compensate the pressure and temperature variations of the superheated steam and thus to provide a corrected and very precise flow rate.
Transmitters are also factory configured and pre-adjusted for easy commissioning.
The pre-wired, ready-to-install instrumentation solution solution meets the demand for sensor protection in an aggressive industrial environment and easy on-site installation.

In addition, we have also provided multi-stage restriction orifices to reduce pressure on process lines. Taking into account the process data, 5 stages were necessary to ensure the absence of cavitation on each stage and to reach the desired pressure drop. 100% of the welds of these devices have passed X-ray examinations to check the absence of welding defects.
